supermarket giants everywhere!

Hi everybody glad to be apart of your forum,we are going to Lesvos this May,ihad been told this was a very natural island ,ihave also just been told that there is a Lidl supermarket on the island. is this true?you just dont seem to be able to escape the food giants .

Well, I don't know for Lesvos but Lidl super markets can be found everywhere in Greece. Actually everywhere there is a large population... and Lesvos is a very large island...
But don't be scared about this... it is normal.... we could discuss about politics and the consequences of the Euros for hours but the fact is that this kind of Giants markets can be helpfull for the population...
And don't think their giantism can be compared to super markets of other countries of Europe... there are really really smaller.... and situated usualy in industrial areas.... there do not change the beauty of any island....
