|
|
After very very nice experiences in Rhodos, Chios, Lesbos and Naxos islands, we are planning to spend 2 weeks sometimes mid-May / mid-June 2009 in Samos.
We hate touristic areas / beaches / bars & discos ...
We are thus looking for authenticity and simplicity. Therefore, any suggestion for renting a villa / appartment or advise a good B & B will always be welcome. Location should allow us to visit by walk and/or drive easily on the island (we always rent a small car in order to secure our independance / own timing during our visits).
We are also very keen on good local & traditional food
Hope to read you soon. |

We went to Samos just over 3 years ago, and stayed in Votsalakia (Kambos). It was very nice but a little remote from other towns, but if you hire a car you should be fine.
The beaches are great, and you'll learn just about everything there is to know about Pythagoras.......
We used to walk past a supermarket called Pythagoras's Meat Market, which made me laugh every time. My husband said everything should be priced at 3.14 euros. |
