Need Help booking ferries

by redmisto » Thu Jun 12, 2008 7:13 pm

I am currently traveling Europe and just planned an improptu trip to Santorini to meet with two of my friends at the end of July. I want to book a ferry but they only mail the tickets and I do not have an address for them to be mailed to, since I will be traveling all around. Is there a way they can e-mail me the tickets? Or will I be able to buy tickets when I get there without waiting too long. The last thing I want to do is spend my vacation waiting to catch a ferry. I arrive July 20th if that is any help at all.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank You

Check http://greekacom.forth-crs.gr/english/npgres.exe?Pm=BB

They can not mail you the ticket as unfortunately, there are not electronic tickets.

But you can ask the cmpany to send in a travel agency just in front of the port.

Follow up questions

Hey thanks for responding to my post. It seems like you know all about this so I figured I'd follow up as to how I can get the ferry company to send the tickets to a travel agency nearby. Do I contact the agency or is it part of the purchasing process from the link you offered?

One final question, do you know how far the ferry port is from the airports in Athens because I need to factor that in when booking a flight.

Thanks again to anyone who can help me out.

The ferry port for Athens is Piraeus. You can easily get a bus (right outside the terminal) or train (change at Monastiraki). It's just not possible to miss the port at Piraeus.......
