Greece : What about Metaxourgio : Greek Islands and Greece Forums

I'm sorry i posted it on the Athens discussion forum, i didnt see this forum before, excuses Embarassed

So i am pasting again my request:

Hi all!
I'm a spanish tourist, and i am very interested on visiting Athens!
we found a cheap place on the Metaxourgio quarter, doesnt look too bad, but for the price (38€ per night for a twin room) make us some suspicious about the conditions of the hotel, or how the neighbourhood is.

I would like to get informed about Metaxourgio. Is that a dangerous place for tourists? And also would like to know the typical things of greek life, what to visit, what to eat...

There is not really dangerous places in Athens.

But Metaxourgio is not really one of the best places for holiday. Actually it depends of were the hotel is situated. There is a part of Metaxoiurgio which is really in the center and in a walking distance from Plaka.

If you want, give me the name of the hotel via PM and I will check it.
There are some nice hotels there.

It would be really long to tell what to see/do/eat for the capital of Greece Smile
