The beaches are wonderful especially Myrtos, the trademark of the island. It is a big and large beach with extraordinary colors surrounded by hills. Gorgeous! It gets a little busy in the season but it is still enjoyable.

Yes, Myrtos is beautiful but in my opinion the beaches are most beautiful in the West part of Lefkada.

Hi all. I'm probably being down in the mouth due to the weather here in the UK. We are travelling to Kefalonia on August 25th for a week just outside Skala - will the weather be nice? I NEED sunshine!

We were in Kefalonia last year and stayed in Lourdas. We hired a car and travelled all around the island (recommended). We went in May but my friend Kostas Minetos of the Eleni Studios, Lourdas (since our trip last year) has emailed me said that the weather should be fantastic in August/September. You are very lucky to be going. Enjoy. Very Happy

Hi,

Lourdata beach is nice. Since I have friend who live on the island, they took me to this beautiful beach called Agios Thomas, which is just before Lourdata and there's only one small road which takes you there. It's like swimming in a big swimming pool! Myrtos was...wow, beautiful. If you're in the Argostoli region, it's worth going to Makrigialos and Platigialos. They're very nice as well.
