Hi everybody,
Well, I am going to visit Greece again, this summer and this time it will be the Island Zakynthos. Laganas wil be the town where we stay (group of 5 friends with an age form 23-25).
We will be going to dive, relax, party and take some tours around the Island. Any tips are welcome!!
After our visit I will inform you all about my expierences.

Hello Martinezz,
Thank you for posting in our new forum about Greece.
Zakynthos was called "Flore de Levante" for its beauty.
Zakynthos is a beautiful island with many things to do. The best places for me is the East Coast. Incredible beaches and many diving facilities.
The famous Navagio beach is also a must.
I only discovered the center of the island last year and was impressed by its authenticity. Until then I thought that the island was a beautiful island but was disapointed by the fact that everything was made for the tourists.
And then I discovered the landscapes and the villages of the center. Amazing. I thought that I was in an other country. Beautiful villages with stoned houses in verdant valleys.
A great journey for me and I am sure it will also be for you!!!! |

Hey Zeta,
Well, you're quit right! A beautifull Island it is!! Wow!!
We've been in Laganas, as i said. Laganas is very tourist minded. Everything has been made and build for tourist. That's a bit of a pity.
We've been scuba diving with the turtles at 1.5 ft (50cm.). WOW, that was really great. We've also been diving. Not a lot of fish but the caves are fantastic.
What you really have to do when you're at Zakynthos and you don't want to only taste the nightlife:
- Hire an appartment a bit outside the town because of the noise in the city
- Hire a car at a recommended car rental for 2 days and see as well the east as the west side (the Island is not that big but be sure you see all the beautifull places)
- Get a snorkelset (when don't already have it) and use it of course
- Visit also the small towns in the centre of the Island. It's really nice.
Next vacation: Lefkas with a sailboat
So much recommendations for that, we have to do this.
