Never been to Patmos but I checked the site www.vrpatmos.co.uk It offers a virtual presentation of the island using 360 degrees pictures. I love those animations (in general)

We spent 2 nights in Patmos in mid July and absolutely fell in love with the island. We stayed at the Blue Bay hotel which is around 90 Euro per room per night in the high season. Although it's a smaller island the shopping is great and I regret not buying more jewellery while there as they have some of the most beautiful hand made jewellery in Greece. If you're after a quiet, relaxing holiday Patmos is ideal. There are the typical shops geared for tourists as well as those geared for those in search of handcrafted items such as art and jewellery.

We hired a car and visited the cave of the apocalypse as well as the monestary in Chora. We swam at the Agriolivadi and Kambos beaches and enjoyed dining out at various tavernas that line the main port of Skala. The Blue Bay hotel was exceptionally clean, staff were hospitable and the included breakfast was lovely too. If I'd known how beautiful Patmos was beforehand I would have spent alot more time there and intend on spending a full week next tim.
