Restaurants Kalymnos

Lots of people seem to read " postings " but few seem to take part. You must have a fave restaurant on Kalymnos, please let me know , I would like to return to the island soon to continue my research.

Just returned from Kalymnos August 13 after spending a month there and can recommend the Aegaean (sp?) restaurant which is in between Myrties and Massouri. Service is friendly, food is great (especially their roast lamb) and they serve watermelon and lougoumades after every meal.

For lounging around after a hard day's swimming and sunbathing at Myrties beach try Babis bar located at Myrties square. Babi, Jianni and Elios make everyone feel welcome and serve drinks as well as very cheap but cheerful food. Recently they hosted a karaoke night which was alot of fun.

hi we went there a couple of years ago and fell in love with kalymnos.
the charm of the people and the pace of the island just captivated us.
we stayed in elies in panormos and found several excelent tavernas. our favorite was a taverna specialising in fish on linaria beach the special platter is amazing and comes with a bottle of ouzo, its the only one ther so you cant miss it. we also used the oliv which was great, he will put on a meze for you if you ask( its not on the menu) for watering holes you cannot beat the rock and blues bar. the owner kostas is one bad dude with an incredible music collection picked up while running clubs in the states some years ago. watch out for the free shots tho. ask his wife about tavernas in pothia she is a mine of information and directed us to her favorite,run by a friend obviously, it was so good but only seemed to have locals in it, a very good sign anywhere. she also runs a website for kalymnos.
we have vowed to return and we will soon
