Travelling to Tsagarada

by phillippa3 » Tue Oct 16, 2007 3:00 pm

Hi, we are thinking about going to Pelion for a holiday next year, more specifically to Tsagarada. Does anyone know anything about this area of Pelion and whether it is mega touristy or not AND, how long does it take to drive from the airport to Tsagarda? We love Greece and Pelion looks beautiful. We visited Skopelos this year and loved it! Does anyone know whether you can take a boat trip to Skopelos and other islands from Pelion. Many thanks. Phillippa

Hi Phillippa3,

Tsagarada is a real beautiful village and not so touristy. I really love Pelion, its vegetation, architecture and landscapes. Tsagarada is a really picturesque village with a cute square. It is well located in order to access beaches and other villages.

It should take you more than an hour (1.5) from the the center of Volos.
The road is difficult as there are many many turns (mountain roads).

Have great holidays in Pelion.

Thanks so much for your reply. Is Volos where the airport would be? Also, what would the weather be like in September in Pelion? Many thanks, Phillippa

"The airport of Nea Anhialos is located 19 km from Volos and many buses operates from/to Pelion."
I think this info is accurate but it would be better if you could also check that.

Have a great trip!
