I just booked a solo vacation for June 2008!! cant wait!! Flying from New York City and my package includes;
2 nights Divani Palace Athens
4 nights Volcano View Hotel Santorini
4 nights Mykonos Grand
I'm so excited. Every year I take myself on a solo getaway to relax and see the world. I travel along with friends at other times during the year but we always go to the Caribbean and I love it but..... the islands have all started to look the same to me now. There is so much more out there to see!! and off I go. I had a tough time trying to choose between a tour of Italy or the trip to Greece but as soon as I saw the pictures of Santorini I was sold!! I'll do Italy next year.
Questions.....
Greece is very safe for a solo female traveler? No problems walking around on my own? any great tips on what to do and see? I'm fine on my own and enjoy the solitude but will I be totally out of place as a solo vacationer?

Hi Jackie,
Greece a really safe country. No problem at all for solo female traveler. No problems walking around even in Athens and late at night.
You won't be out of place as a solo vacationer. Then it is up to you if you want to meet people. I always meet people when I travel in the Greek islands.
Have a great trip. June is a great month for holidays as you can enjoy your solitude. August is overcrowded.
