Hi,
I will visit Mykonos on the beginning of September. Some people told me that is normal when we arrive to the Mykonos port, and in general in the ports of the Greek islands, there are people with advertisements about hotels and accomodation, and it is cheaper to get accomodation there than book through Internet. This is true? It is easy to get cheap and nice accomodation at that time?

Hello Raiox,
There are many islands in Greece where accommodation owners are waiting for the boats to propose their services. I was in Naxos and Paros a few days ago and again, many people proposed me all kind of accommodation. The very cheap accommodation and many times illegal are only represented there.
Concerning Mykonos: the last time I went there in summer was a few years ago and I don't remember seing much people proposing accommodation. I have heard that some efforts have been made in the islands in order to avoid this so... maybe someone has better information about this.
