For a peaceful holiday in a very Greek village visit Finikounda. While you are there be sure to visit the restaurant of Antonios Giannoukakis behind the church.

Yes! This is an excellent restaurant! BEWARE OF THE RED HOUSE WINE! We ordered half carafe of red and got a full carafe (in a big glass jug!) The wine tasted of sherry!! (or maybe cough medicine?) It took us ages to drink it (probably because we were laughing so much!!) At the end of the meal, when we paid the bill (we got free starters and a free dessert!) they told us the wine was free on Monday evenings!!!! (Which made us laugh even more!!!)
Eat here! You won't be disappointed! |
