Hello Ine,
I am sorry but I don't know anything about the hotel.
But concerning the island I have many thing to say simply because I love it!
It is not my favourite island but for me it is definitely the island with the most incredible beaches and more especially the most beautiful waters. Never saw that before except maybe from one beach in Kefalonia, Myrtos.
It is really incredible. Those beaches are located in the west side. The east side is not so beautiful but good for accommodation. The best way to visit the island is by scooter or car. Many rentals are available.
The town is also unique in Greece. Many people do not like it but I love it. Many colors and really unique.
As lover of windsurfing, I also recommend Vassiliki beach for windsurfing lessons and sailing lessons.
Hope that you will have great holidays. Do not hesitate to post an other topic about Lefkada.

Hello Zeta,
Thanks for your quick answer. Are the waters and nature in Lefkada so beautiful as in Zakynthos?(I hope the villages will be better than Laganas) |

It's a very different island to Zakynthos. I can't compare them fully because I went there a couple of years ago, a week after there was a serious earthquake, so most of the tourists had gone.
Anyway, as it's not such a developed island, there aren't really trashy towns like Laganas. I stayed in Agios Nikitas which was absolutely beautiful.
If you go, be sure to visit Porto Katsiki beach - it's beautiful. Here's a pic I took:

Thank you Wonker. When I see you're picture, I'm sure we will visit
Porto Katsiki. It's very beautiful. It looks like the beach we visited on Zakynthos bij the shipwreck. |

I did not like the most shipwreck beach in Zakynthos when I finished as much as these beaches in Lefkada. They are so beautiful |

The of beauty Lefkas is the ruggedness of the island, some parts of the
island are surrounded by smaller islands which are so green and so is Lefkas. When you drive up and around Lefkas some the views are breath taking
go to Porto Katsiki sit in one of the small tavernas right on the edge of
nothing, you start to wonder how they don't topple over the edge.
After have a stroll down steps to the wind and surf swept beaches below
its not bad at all.We stayed Agios Nikitas which vehicle free accept for
the locals of course,we had a fish meal of sea bream in one of the tavernas on the very front Porto Nikitas its so good.
The villa was right on high with about 70 steps to the front door that was hard work, but well worth it we must have arrived just after the earthquake
some of the roads were closed i remember seeing a partly covered white
people carrier type car,we did have a very small tremor later,, being the
sensitive type it woke me up.So if you don't like Lefkas you can always
drive across the causeway into main land Greece i don't have a problem.... |

I was just wondering if there were any "around-the-island" boat tours in Lefkada. Are all the beautiful beaches accessible by car/moped/walking?
I'd love to visit the island next year! Thanks for your info.
