I am planning to travel Greece again for 3-4 weeks in mid -september. Please give me some advice how to design my trip. I have been to Mykonos, Santorini,Pors , Hydrs..athens about 9 years ago. I love Santorini the best however, I was staying there for only 3 days. And now I decide to go back there and stay longer.
1) Which part of santorini is the best to stay? (I want to find some very traditional B& B or hotels to stay..like the one situtate on the cliff if u know what I mean..)
2) and also I would love to visit Crete as well..maybe a week or so..(never been)and idea?
3) and the other island called Zakythos?? far away??can I get boat trip to one island to another easily?? Where can I find the information of the ferry or boat time tables?
If anyone can, please do me a mini Holiday plan for 3-4 weeks in Greece.
(places wants to visit..athens, santorini, Crete,Zakythos)
Thanks...looking forward to hear from you. |

1. The best area is Oia. There are many hotels there, on the cliff, to choose from.
2. Crete in comparaison with Santorini is huge. There is crazy amount of places to stay. The most famous areas are in the south of Rethymno and Chania prefectures.
3. Zakynthos, contrary to Santorini and Crete, is located in the Ionian sea, which is the sea located in the west part of Greece. There are no boats to go from one side to the other. Usualy you have to go by plane or take the road to the west part and then take a boat.
3-4 weeks in Greece?
- Athens
- Some popular areas in Mainland Greece: Delphi, Meteora, Nafplion or Epidaurus.
- Then take the boat for a touring of the islands. There is an amazing amount of islands to visit in Greece and every islands is different from the other. Check http://www.greeka.com/greece-islands.htm
Have a nice trip. _________________ www.greeka.com Admin |
