Can anyone post/recommend good/clean/affordable accommodation in Lefkada?
Which area would be the best to stay in, in terms of nightlife/restaurants/access to beaches?

I would love to tell you were to stay in Lefkadea but I don't know if I could stay objective... hehe

Concerning the "where" to stay I would recommend you Agios Nikitas and the surrounding. I didn't like much Nidri and Vassiliki is fine but a little isolated from the rest of the island. And all the amazing beaches are located arround Agios Nikitas.

Agios Ioannis is also a fine place and has a beautiful beach but the area gets really windy (like Vasiliki) every afternoon.

Ha! There is a place near Nidri which is called Geni. Check http://www.genigarden.com . If I remember well the place is runned by an Austrian couple. Really confortable.

Could anyone tell me if there are any decent campings at the west side of leukada?! We are looking for a nice place to stay at during august for relaxing! thank you in advance!

Do you know, are there any restaurants or do we need to go to Lefkada town when we want to eat out?

We are staying in Kastro Maistro (I think it is near Frini village or the monastery that is up on the hill).

If you are looking for nightlife, city of Lefkada, Nidri andf Vasiliki are the only places you can find..
If you are looking for a place that compines a fine beach, nightlife, good restaurants, Vasiliki is the answer.

I've stayed in Vasiliki for 8 days and I had great time. The problem is that you are quite far away from Porto Katsiki, Kathisma and Egkremni beach but you can't have it all!

Nidri is too crowded with lots of bars and restaurants but you have to drive your car to get to a beach.
