Hello Arnono,
Well.... I have to tell you that August is a difficult month to find accommodation. You will certainly find but you won't have great choices. Usely, when the ferries arrives on the port of Naxos, there are at least 100 people there try to convince tourists to go to their hotels and rooms. But August still a dificult month. There is also an accommodation desk on the port.
Then the prices. The are getting really high in August even for medium accommodation. You should check http://www.greeka.com/cyclades/naxos/island/naxos-last-minute.htm but even now, only one have made a post, as many of them are already full.
For cheap and confortable accommodation you should maybe try the rooms of the campings: http://www.maragascamping.gr/ and http://www.plakacamping.gr/
Good luck and have great holidays (I love Naxos will also be there for a small week in August) |

Hi Arnono
I'm not sure how much they charge in August, but if you're looking for a nice, cheap, central hotel in Chora (Naxos town) I'd recommend Hotel Soula. The guy will probably be at the port when you arrive, and they're usually among the cheapest. If you're staying 9 nights, you should get a decent reduction on the standard rate.
Enjoy! |

be careful with very low prices because it is very easy to find dirty and unpleasant locations.
I would suggest Maragas camping - the studios are clean and the people we found last year and 2 years ago are very polite and helpfull.
Maragas camping is just in front of a long beach and even if it is quite far from Chora there are no problems to reach the main city with frequent busses or renting a scooter.
Maragas has a bus that drives you for free from/to the port.
Have nice holidays.
