Greece : Best place to propose in Santorini ? : Greek Islands and Greece Forums

Hi Everyone,

I am travelling to Greece next month and am planning to propose to my girlfriend. We are doing a tour - the first part of which is on land (athens, delphi, olympia etc) and the second is a cruise of the islands. We will be stopping at both Mykonos and Santorini. Which is the better place to propose ? If it is Santorini, where is a good place to propose ?

I vote Santorini - it's more romantic (Mykonos is the party island). Where in Santorini? Oia comes to mind, with a beautiful sunset - it doesn't get much better than that!

Hi Juniorj,

My friend o_xenos has absolutely right. Santorini would be the best place to propose.
Santorini is considered as one of the most romantic spots in the world.
Presonaly I would propose also on the village of Oia, in one of the great restaurants overlooking the volcano and the island of Thirassia. The time? Sunset of course as many say that the sunset in Santorini is one of the most beautiful in the world.
Who wouldn't want to propose in front of that?

Oia in santorini for definate!!..the most romantic place....especaially when the sunset finished...
