Is Athens worth visiting? My travel agent is pushing us to go there and see the sights such as doing a day trip or spending the night in Olympia. She also mentioned Argolis... Im coming from the States and only have so much time I can spend in Greece, I really do not want to waste my Days in Athens if it isn't worth the visit...any opinions? There are a few things that must be seen. The Acropolis (of course), the area of plaka, some sites and the archaeological museum. Then there are many things to see for a day/ 2 days trip. There is Olympia, Epidaurus, Nafplio, Delphi, etc... The most famous is Delphi. It's also safer to travel that way, so you can plan your day ahead.
