| Hi i belive i can see most of the southern part of the island by using the buses that run from skiathos town,but to see the rest of the island i wound need to hire a 4x4,is this true?Im so looking forward to my hols there its been 2 years since i last visited greece and i miss it so much!! Any infomation would be gratefull.bye |

There is really only one main road in skiathos that runs North to South. The bus runs along this route every 15 minutes (ish). If you want to get over to the more remote parts of the island you will require a car/4x4.
I have been to Skiathos 3 times and absolutely love it, I am going again with my family in May and can't wait. I would also recommend renting a boat for the day (done on marina) and getting around the whole island as it enables you to access small cove beaches that are otherwise inaccessible. |
