Beautiful island of the Cyclades but nothing to do with the rest of the islands’ group.
The difference? The water. The island has much water and offers very green landscapes.
The beaches are nice, the landscapes impressive and the main town a beauty full of neoclassical houses and paved alleys.
Batsi is a little village with a sandy beach. Nice place but not the best on the island. Concerning Blue Bay just visit www.blue-bay.gr It is considered as one of the best place to stay in Andros Island! |

Lovely island; only two hours on the ferry from Athens which helps. Batsi is quite nice but the best beaches are a short taxi ride away and there is also a water taxi. Alternatively you could hire a bike.
Blue Bay is a great place to stay and you get great views on the sunsets; the only problem is at the weekends when young Greeks come over from the mainland and just take the place over (or at least they did a few years ago when I was there).
But it is well worth a visit. |
