Sifnos

Cyclades is the most popular island complex in the Aegean Sea. However, apart from busy islands, it also has small family places for true relaxation...

Sifnos

for the fist time we have planned our holidays in Sifnos (arriving on the 16th of August leaving on the 23rd).

Is there anybody who can give us any suggestion on beaches / restaurant / things to do or to avoid...

We like quiet / not crowded places

Thanks

I love Sifnos. The main town (not the port) is really beautiful with typical cycladic alleys. An other great area is the Kastro. There is a great cafe there but unforunately I don't remember the name.
What I love the most about this island is the calm. It has nothing to do with the famous other islands.
The food of Sifnos is also great. I really enjoyed my food in most of the restaurants. They have a particular way of cooking and many local specialities
Beaches: I like the beach at the left side of the famous church of Chrisopigi but as it is very small, I suppose it will get easiley crowded in August.

Have great holidays and we will appreciate if you can post comments about the island.

The village of Kastro is a must. There is a bar there which is really extraordinary.

Apollonia is really great also.

The beach od Chrisopigi is for me the best.

Enjoy the island. It is really Great.
