I'm probably being down in the mouth because of the horrible weather here in the UK :cry:

- my partner and our daughter are coming to Kefalonia on August 25th, staying just outside Skala - I need sunshine! Will it be warm and sunny?

August is the hottest month in Greece.

I don't think you should have too much to worry about with the weather.

Yesterday (Thursday) was the hottest day of the year so far with the temperature, recorded at 35 at the airport at 5pm. This morning, in Lithostroto, the main shopping street in Argostoli, it was 33 at 9am.

As the previous poster said, August gets even hotter!!!!!

Hoorah for that! We are so looking forward to our holiday - we have hired an open top jeep to see the island and we want to do that in sunshine - NOT sunshine/showers as here in the UK! I can't wait to get on the 'plane! At the age of 42 I am acting like my 10 year old - in fact, she is probably less excited than me! Thank you all
