Lefkada in September or October

by kalousp » Wed Jan 10, 2007 6:40 pm

Hi,

I would like to ask you for help. Me and my girlfriend are going to Lefkada this year - at the end of season. But we are not sure if it is better to go there in September or October. Vacations in October are cheaper but we are afraid there will be worse weather (less possibility to have a blue sky), a little bit colder and first of all shorter days. I have read somewhere on the internet, that there are 12 hours of sunshine in August in Lefkada but only 7 hours in October... What do you think?

Thank you very much!

Best regard
Pavel

Lefkada is excellent till end of October, however it is better to visit on September because weather is till warm and calm.

In the middle of September days are equal with nights so in October days are shorter than nights.

october can have a lot of rain but last year i went in the second week and temperatures were low 70s (about 21) and sea was warm
beaches are deserted and people have more time for you, plus you get to see the real place without lots of tourists
