I know it's off season, but there should be some events on Christmas, right? :O I really hope so..
I do Hope I can meet some people there and have fun together. :)
Have a good week, everybody! :)

Santorini is not at all a Christmas destination. How did you come up with Santorini?

It will be nice certainly and veeeery calm, but I am guessing only locals will be in Santorini that time. Probably there will be some events in the square of Fira, but do not expect crazy fun.

If you want a Christmas place to go in Greece, I would suggest Kalavryta or Zagoria. People go there for ski.

HI!
I completely agree with the other comment about spending Christmas on Santorini. I don't think it is a good idea! Islands are for summer! I myself have visited islands in April, May... If you are not looking for fun, but just enjoying the nature - it is wonderful. And it was spring!!! Not mid-winter. Most of Tavernas will be closed - there are no visitors in this time. Some hotels might be open... But a lot of them are closing down already by mid October. You simply might get disappointed...
It is wonderful in Athens and in the mountains - where there are ski-resorts! YOu can choose a wonderful place as Pilio, or go to Arahovo, or somewhere else.. I am sure you will find fun there! And there will be cosy hotels with fireplaces, and nice meals, so that you could enjoy the Christmas eve and the Greek hospitality.
