Agios Nikolaos to Knossos

by vbfamily » Wed Sep 09, 2009 9:37 pm

My ship will be docking at the Agios Nikolaos port at the end of this month. I generally don't do the ship's tours, I prefer to do private or self tours. I would like to visit Knossos. Does anyone have a tour they would recommend? Or should we rent a car and go by ourselves? Is there a bus? Any alternative suggestions? Thank you for your help.

I think it would be better to rent a car and drive to Knossos. It should be about an hour and a half from Agios Nikolaos. This way, you can stop in the beautiful villages you will pass, like Hersonissos and Sisi.

I don't think there is a bus from Agios Nikolaos directly to Knossos. There is a bus to Heraklion, but then you will have to take a taxi to Knossos.
