Lemnos

we would like to visit Lemnos and thought Plaki would suit us as it looks quiet with a lovely beach .Has anyone holidayed here and could they recommend any apartments right on the beach. As we do not drive abroad is it possible to be picked up at the airport - something we have done quite a few times on other islands

I haven't been to the Lemnos island but it looks gorgeous. I don't think there are too many options in terms of renting an apartment there, but you can check out some of these sites:

Apparently the island is pretty mountainous but has really nice beaches too. I've also heard the castles are worth seeing.
