Late Ferries to Skiathos?

I am travelling to Athens on the 22nd July 2009 and need to get to Skiathos.My friends all have a connecting flight however I was unable to get a seat.

We arrive in Athens at 16.10, I can see that I can get a bus and then a ferry to Skaithos from either Volos or Ayios Konstandionos...however the latest ferry is at 7.30pm which I will not make. Are there alternative ferries that run later? I don't want to en up stranded in Volos as I am travelling alone.

I don't know if there is a later ferry.
But even alone, Volos is an enjoyable town and you can catch the first ferry in the morning.
