May in Ios

Hi,
We are planning a trip to Ios mid to late May. We want to know if there is reasonable nightlife at this time of the year? We don't want to waste our time going to Ios if there is no atmosphere.
Could anyone help us?

No, May is not the good month... most of the island's bars won't be opened.
Most of the visitors of Ios are students. So when schools and universities close for summer holiday, then the island get crowded.

When my brother graduated from highschool a few years ago his class took a graduation trip to Ios for a week during the month of may. He said the island was not very crowded, and although many bars were open, they did not stay open until very late at night since it was not high season. So basically it looks like if you're looking to go when there's a ton of crazy people and atmosphere, you should wait until high season. But if like my brother, you go with a good group of friends, you will enjoy it no matter what![/url]
