Zakynthos, the island with the two faces: busy and loud on one side, calm and family on the other...

Hello Koolkat,

I don't know much about Tsilivi, only went there for some baths and it was great!
Zakynthos Island is well organised with many restaurants and activities. Zakynthos is a big island with many excursions to do. There is no possibility to be disapointed! There is a reason was they call the island "flore di levante", no?

Have great holidays!

Hi, just got back a month ago from Tsilivi.
Like everything else its a querstion of what you want and enjoy.

Avoid Olive Tree restuarant - was very disappointing considering the reputation it has.

You must visit the balcony hotel at east end of beach on top of cliff for evening meal. Great views and sunsets and good, traditionally cooked food.

Its about a 20 minute walk from Tsilivi centre, but well worth it - or take one of the horse-drawn taxis!

This is where we stayed as we prefer a bit more quiet than can be found in the centre!

If you book any trips, use Spring tours - very friendly and helpful.

Enjoy your stay - wish we were going back.

Hi
Thanks for the info.
I have a couple of questions.
Any info/prices on the waterpark?
Thinking of hiring a speedboat again any ideas on prices.
Thanks

hi koolkat

will be in tsilivi the same time as you, even staying in the same apartments... but it's ok, we shouldn't bother you, it's just myself and 24 others. we promise to keep the childish behaviour to a minimum and certainly no late music after 10pm.

see you in 9 weeks!

rob :D

Sorry to hear that you were disapointed with the Olive Tree Rachman, I was there in May 2005 and found it the best place in Tsilivi. Yanis and his staff were very helpful. He has a brother who works in Limmasol, Cyprus who we tried to visit when we were married there in 2006. Have a great time Koolkat. We have booked up for June 2009 staying at the Phoenix Beach. Must dash flying out to Rhodes for two weeks this evening.[/img]
