STAY WELL AWAY FROM SCRATCH CARD PEOPLE, TIME SHARE. DONT GIVE THEM THE TIME OF DAY.skiathos is very nice, one road takes you all around the island, bikes can be a pain at night. not sure if i will return. me and my wife was there from aug 8th / 22nd , we done a couple of boat trips and one day hired a boat ourself from 10 in morn till 5 at night, about 130 euros. not much else to do really if your the type who likes to get out and about. Thank you for giving us your opinion about Skiathos. Personaly I think that Skiathos is a really beautiful island with a charming town, many excursions and many beautiful beaches. This island must had been some of the most beautiful of Greece. The problem is that it was so beautiful that it attracted too many people so too many hotels were built and even an airport. The island is now one of the most touristy islands of Greece with many charter flights from many locations. There are many thing to do on this island. There are many beaches and in one week you won't have the time to see all of them. There are also many excursions. The most famous is the boat trip to the amazing Lalaria beach. Then if you rent a jeep you can go to the castro which is an extremely beautiful place. I have done that once by bike but my bike didn't appreciated the trip You can aldo make daily excursions to the town of Volos, the islands of Skopelos and Alonissos. Concerning the nightlife there are many things to do in the town. Skiathos is a great place but you must be prepaired to many people.
