High Speed Ferry: Business or Economy?

by jenfaulkner » Tue Aug 19, 2008 2:55 pm

We are traveling to the islands next week and want to ferry to Sifnos (from Pireus) and buy our tickets on line. What is the difference between Business and Economy seats? Is it easy to pick them up at port?

Also, we arrive in Athens at 9:30 and the ferry leaves at 15:30. I was thinking I'd have time to walk around somewhere for a bit and enjoy some food and drink. Any suggestions on the best route from airport to food and drink / a walk-about, and then to port?

No much difference.
The business is more expensive, the seats are in a restricted area and it suppose to be more quiet. I do not recommend it.

You take the metro from Airport to Syntagma. It is the central square of Athens. From there you go to Monastiraki by foot and then up to Plaka and the Acropolis.

From Syntagma you can go to the port with the metro.
