Yiassou! Does anyone know where I can look for information about hiring a guide/transportation from Kastoria to go to the remains of a nearby village (Gannoxori) about 30-40 kilometres away? I will be travelling to Greece in October and it has always been a dream of mine to see the village where my grandfather was born and raised, but I have no idea how to go about it, especially since I (unfortunately) don't speak Greek.
I greatly appreciate any guidance/suggestions you can provide! Efharisto poli. |

Dear Krista,
I do not know how to go from Kastoria to Giannoxori but I can give you the telephone of the radiotaxi. When you go to Kastoria, you can call a taxi to come and get you there. The telephone is (+30) 24670 82100 and 24670 82200. Otherwise, you can call at the suburban buses service (they are called KTEL in Greek and the number is 24670 83633) to ask if there is a bus to Giannoxori. Good luck and have a nice trip!! |
