Trip to Poros

I am planning to spend a couple of days in Poros island. I am going for a business trip in Athens and have few days off. I was dreaming to go in the Cyclades but I have been told that the Saronic islands are closer and their access are easier. Do you think that Poros is a good destination

Hello, Poros is a beautiful destination. The little village is cute and I never get bored to spend some hours there. The rest of the island is nice but small. No much opportunity for adventure! The beached are familiar and has nothing to do with the beaches of the Cyclades. A really good beach is the Love beach and its green crystalline waters.
On other destination is Hydra but many hours in ferries. Expensive also but if you have money to afford it you can also take the flying dolphins boats. Very quick.
If you are dreaming of the Cyclades, the closest island to Athens is Andros and is only 2 hours away!

Yes, Poros is cute. It is perfect for a couple of days and you will have a short taste of a Greek island.

Poros

I'm planning going to Poros in september 2008.

Anybody knows if its necessary to book the ferry ticks early? Or I will find it easy and at the same price on the Piraeus port?

Thanks.
