| Hi, I would like to visit Crete in mid/end September. Is the weather still hot and are the hotels opened? |

| Hello, the weather will still be very warm. I was there last September and the weather was perfect. Not to hot. Just what we needed to enjoy our stay. I usually go there in August and it is terribly hot! September is really better and the island is quiter: less tourists, the local people seem more relaxed. Enjoy your stay! |

| Crete is known as one of the areas of Greece with the highest number of sunny days. I think also in Europe! Concerning the activities, everything is still open and indeed, local people have finished with the peak season rush and seem more relaxed! |

The best time to visit Crete is indeed after the peak season OR in April/May. The weather is not to hot and the island is still green......
