Unfortunately my knowledge about Kos are really limited and could not advice you as well as I would like to.

Just found this site so hope I am not too late to pass on some info about Tigaki. Have been there several times stayed in various places. Recommendations depend on the type of accommodation you want (ie pool, bar etc). Tigaki is not what you would call very Greek but what it lacks in looks it makes up for in friendliness and there are some good restaurants and bars. The beach is good and there are some quiet spots to the left of the fountain. There are several places we would be happy to return to. Manoles and Donna, the owners of Sagittarius, one of the best restaurants has some apartments above that have only just been built since last year. Over the years we have stayed in their older ones built at the back of the restaurant and they are of a good quality. Donna's e-mail address is info@sagittariuskos.com. They don't have a pool but The Marianna apartments are right next door and they are very happy to let non-residents use it (we usually buy something from the pool bar). Other recommendations are The Marianna, Irena II (not Irena Beach - too far), Mythos apartments, Villa Athena (through Louise at Theokritos Travel website). Hope this helps.
