Thassos

We are coming on 30 may to Thassos and we are going to stay on the hotel Villa Pipinis.Are there some god Taverna on the harbour,and are there something to see in the town.

I have been to Thassos once. One of my best friends comes from this "Emerald" Island. I am planning to visit it again this summer.

Thassos was the first Greek island I visited, in 1981. I still have fond memories of it, although at the time we had to fly into Thessaloniki, then a 4 hour coach ride to Kavala, followed by the boat to Thassos Town. The start of a love affair with Greece.

Just a small notification. The coach ride from Thessaloniki to Kavala takes around 2h and not 4h as mentioned above.
