Our travel agent is suggesting we stay here.
My husband and I are celebrating our 4 yr marriage anniversary and wanted an accommodation in Santorini with the volcano view or the caldera.

Feedback is greatly appreciated!

There are many hotels on Santorini...
Here is what Greeka proposes:

Some of the hotels are particulary popular but then you should give an idea of your budget

Alexis your awesome and so knowledgeable on Greece! huge help!

We are looking to spend $200-300 dollars...so about 180 euros is in our budget.

What do you suggest for our budget keeping in mind that we would like a volcano or cliff view room.

My husband and I will definitely explore the entire Island and try to soak in as much of Santorini that we can in 4 days...so distance from village to village isn't much of a factor for us...

Thanks!!! Wink

Hi DenaZ,

Thank you for the good words.
Well, the first think to choose is the location. The island of Santorini is small but the best would be to find a central location in order to easily access other villages and beach resorts. If you plan to rent a car and really don't mind about the location, then the most famous spot is the village of Oia. Oia is known for its incredible beauty and the sunset (supposed to be the more beautiful sunset of the world).
In order to know the different locations of Oia check: http://www.greeka.com/cyclades/santorini/santorini-map/santorini-map.gif

Hotels in Oia: There are many but for your budget check:
- http://www.greeka.com/cyclades/santorini/hotels/santorini-strogili-houses/index.html

The most central village of Santorini is Fira. But there are also some village nest to Fira (Firostefani and Imerovigli) that also offer amazing views and are not as busy as Fira. In all cases, the architecture of those villages is amazing and even if Fira is busy in the streets, you want feel that in your hotel.
Fira:
- http://www.greeka.com/cyclades/santorini/hotels/santorini-aressana/index.html

Firostefani:
- http://www.greeka.com/cyclades/santorini/hotels/santorini-dana-villas/index.html (very popular)
Imerovigli:
- http://www.greeka.com/cyclades/santorini/hotels/santorini-irida/index.html
- http://www.nefelihomes.gr/
etc, etc, ect....

This is only some examples. Then prices differs a lot from room to room.

If you want to have a 360 animation of Santorini please check http://www.greeka.com/cyclades/santorini/santorini-pictures-360/index.htm
This site proposes a lot of pictures for each area.

I hope I was of some help

Thanks Alexis you were a huge help!
Ive been going off your post and Trip Advisor all morning and I think my travel agent and I are now on the right path when it comes to accommodation's in Santorini! Thank you!

Hopefully I get some good news today and not disappointing news that there is no vacancy left that would be very Crying or Very sad .

My favorites were Volcano Villas and Dana Villas...thank you so much again for the suggestions!

Can you rent mopeds in Santorini? I hear people mention car rentals a lot but how about mopeds?

Thanks!
