Hi Eugene, according to the climate charts in Lonely Planet's "Greece, 6th ed.", the temperature in Corfu at the end of August can still soar over 30 degrees, but the average daily range is more comfortable (low to high twenties). While Corfu has the nation's highest rainfall, October is when the rains really start, so that shouldn't be a problem.
