On cruise..only 10 hours in Corfu - Paleokastritsa Beach

We will be in Corfu in July off a cruise ship for the day. I want to see Corfu town and really want to get to Paleokastritsa Beach.

How to get there? Bus? Where is bus terminal?

How cold is the water to snorkel?

They best way would be to rent a car.
Corfu is an amazing island with great nature. There are also many amazing villages. So why not having more time to discover the surrounding.

I know that there is a good bus network on the island but cannot say were is the terminal
