The town of Parga hosts its own museum, the "Ecclesiastical Museum", placed in the centre of the town, right next to the church of Agioi Apostoloi.

There are also two copies of the scripts of a monk dating from the 17th century, apart from some old icons of great value, such as the icon of Mother Mary the Guider, Mother Mary of Vlacherna and Panagopoula.
Another interesting item found in the Ecclesiastical museum is the 300-year-old banner of Parga, made of red silk and painted by oil on both sides; the banner has a depiction of Mother Mary and baby Jesus with a background of golden stars. It also has holes from Turkish bullets, which testify the hard times this town went through during their invasions. |
