Beaches: Agios Ioannis beach in Parga |
Agios Ioannis beach Parga: Agios Ioannis, or Ai-Giannakis as the locals call it, is a small, beautiful beach 6km from Parga. This white-pebbled beach has also white sand and clean, blue waters.
The beach itself consists of a stretch of land surrounded by rocky mountains and low cliffs; these mountains protect the beach from strong winds and bad weather conditions. In consequence, the place is ideal for lying in the sun and swimming; waters are deep enough for a grown-up to swim.
The only piece of advice we must give tourists is to wear shoes when swimming because the sea floor is pretty rocky and walking on it barefoot may be uncomfortable. Visitors will also have the chance to practise water sports. There is an area to park your car and then you go down a paved road to reach the beach. |
