 Thassos distinguishes for its beautiful beaches and the green scenery. The capital, Limenas, is a lovely village, although it gets quite busy because of the port. The old harbour of Limenas is a nice place to walk around and the have some traditional meals. Closeby, there are the remains of the Ancient Town of Thassos, an interesting site to visit.
At noon, go swimming in one of the most famous and beautiful beaches on Thassos, Golden beach. It is located about 10 km south east of Limenas and offers an amazing coast with soft sand. Mount Ypsarion, the highest peak of Thassos, on the background creates a lovely ambience.
About 5 km from Golden beach, there is Potamia, a beautiful mountainous village with traditional architecture and great views to the sea. This village is a nice spot for an afternoon walk.
 Two days in Thassos: Prinos and Limenaria |
 1st day as described above.
On the second day, take the road west of Limenas and go to Prinos. This is a popular tourist resort with many facilities and a beautiful beach to swim, although it usually gets very crowded. Prinos is located about 15 km from Limenas.
Then, go south to Limenaria, the second biggest village of Thassos and much quieter than the capital. The small port of Limenaria has nice fishing taverns to have lunch. In the afternoon, go to Potos, a very large and popular beach a couple of km from Limenaria. About 10 km in the inland from Potos, there is Theologos, probably the most picturesque village of Thassos. Observe the traditional architecture and visit the folklore museum that depicts daily life on the island from a couple of centuries ago till today.

1st and 2nd days as described above.
The third day, go swimming in Makriammos, Paradise and Alyki, three lovely and popular beaches surrounded by pristine nature. Although these beaches are organized and tourist, if you want more secluded coves to enjoy privacy, you can find them all over the island.
