This interesting museum is located in the capital of Thassos, the town of Limenas. It displays various findings from Ancient Agora and other excavation sites on Thassos, such as potteries, statues, terracotta figurines, jewelry and others.
>> Sightseeing
Ancient Agora includes the remains of the ancient town of Thassos. There are the ruins of temples and sanctuaries, an odeum, a theatre and the Acropolis. It is located on a hill above Limenas.
The sanctuary is actually a man-made cave. It is believed that it used to be a worshipping place dedicated to Pan, a satyr with skills at playing music.
