Windsurfing is a thrilling sporting activity for one and all, irrespective of sex and age. Correct technique is the keyword rather than muscle power. Windsurfing is an Olympic event and has gained professional status since the year 1985.
Weather conditions in Greece -and in Thassos in particular for that matter- with the mild Mediterranean climate and ideal wind strength are perfect for windsurfing. In most Greek beaches and even in Thassos one can attend lessons conducted by efficient instructors.
The Greek Windsurfing Federation located in Athens is pioneering the initiatives to popularize this sporting activity. |
