Samos Villages: Mytilini village in Samos Mytilini village Samos: The village of Mytilini is an attractive and verdant place located on a valley, 12 kilometres south west of Vathy. It has a population of about 2500 inhabitants and is full of beautiful houses, churches and chapels. The village has this name because people from Lesvos (Mytilini in Greek) settled here around 1700, after the earthquake which destroyed a great part of their island. The village produces tobacco and excellent wine.
