Marathokambos village Samos: The small village of Marathokambos is lying on the slopes of Mount Kerkis, south west of Vathy. It is a charming place full of galleries, narrow streets and whitewashed houses, reminding of the Cyclades.
The 2500 inhabitants are mainly farmers and sailors. Excellent olive oil and soap can be bought from Marathokambos. The beach of Ormos Marathokambou is near the village and attracts thousands of visitors with its shallow crystalline waters and its fine sand.
