Although till few years ago the Archaeological Museum of Pythagorion was housed in the Town Hall, today it is housed in a separate building. |

It was founded by Ionannis Melentism professor of paleontology
at the University of Thessaloniki.
It is supposed to be the only paleontological museum in
Greece and displays fossils and the remains of prehistoric
animals such as the small horse of Samos which has three
toes and is 13 millions years old.
