Till early December the latest, residents and visitors on the island of Lesvos will have free access to three new WiFi hotspots, while another spot will also be ready in the neighbouring and remote island of Ai-Stratis. In particular, people will have access to free and highspeed internet in the building of Lesvos Prefecture and at a distance of 200 meters around it and also in other spots in Myrina and Molyvos, two popular tourist villages on the island.
This project, that is expected to cost about 300,000 euros, will be supervised by the Municipality of Lesvos in an effort to promote the use of Internet from all citizens on the island and to make things easier for visitors, who will have the chance to get informed on ferry itineraries, hotels or other accommodations and sites to visit on Lesvos.
