The students of a primary school in Mytilene took an important initiative: they put on their gloves and planted trees in the area around the Castle of Mytilene. This action was organized by the Idalios Damos Foundation and was welcomed by the Archaeological Sevice of the island. After planting the trees, students had the chance to learn more about the Medieval Castle of Mytilene, its history and tradition. Then, they were tranfered to the seat of the Idalios Damos Foundation, where they were informed about paper recycling, so they leaned to appreciate both culture and the environement.
