The "Traditional House", created by the Women Association of Pamfila village, was inaugurated last week by the Major of Mytilene, Mr Nasos Giakalis, and the President of the Association, Mrs Natassa Avagiannou. This folklore museum is housed in a lovely  neoclassical house, provided to the Association by the municipality of Mytilene, and it includes exhibits, like handmade wooden furniture, tools, old photographs, textiles, costumes and others. This traditional house is the result of a long effort by the women of the village, which lies 7 km north of Mytilene, to gather these old pieces and organize them into a museum. As these women stressed out, they are connected to all these exhibits with a great emotional value.
